Andre Brown To Receive Giants' Goal-Line Carries

Oct 31, 2014 3:42 PM

Andre Brown is receiving the goal-line carries for the New York Giants as he has a size advantage over David Wilson and Ahmad Bradshaw.

"I'm the biggest back, that's basically what it is," Brown said. "Be a big back and go in there short yardage and goal line and go there and make sure I get short-yardage situations. I go in there and just want to stay consistent and go out there and produce."

Brown has seven touchdowns this season.

Simms Doesn't Consider Eli Manning 'Elite'

Nov 4, 2014 8:01 AM

Phil Simms doesn't believe Eli Mannings can be considered in the same class as Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

“No, he is not one of the elites. Because when I hear the word ‘elite’, I’m thinking about guys that can make unbelievable plays on the field by themselves,” Simms said.

“There are very few quarterbacks in that category. Yes, Eli has been a tremendous team player. He has been MVP of the Super Bowl twice. I know that. But the way I look at it, the answer is no.”

Dalton, Green, Bengals Beat Giants 31-13 (+1.6 TC, 0 TRC)

Jul 21, 2014 2:06 AM

Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals carved through the porous New York Giants' pass offense on their way to a 31-13 win.

The Bengals had a +1.6 advantage in The Trench Counter despite having a +3 differential in turnovers, largely due to the Giants' effective run game. Both teams had the same Total Rushes/Completions.

Dalton went 21-for-30 for 199 yards and four touchdowns. A.J. Green continued his excellent 2012 season and backed up his Giants' trash talk with seven catches for 85 yards and a 56-yard touchdown.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis carried 15 times for 50 yards.

Eli Manning continued his mid-season struggles, going 29-for-46 for 215 yards and two interceptions.

Andre Brown rushed seven times for 65 yards and a touchdown, his sixth on the season despite just 53 carries.

A.J. Green Sees Vulnerabilities In Giants' 26th Ranked Pass Defense

Sep 14, 2014 10:38 PM

A.J. Green admitted to seeing vulnerabilities in the 26th ranked New York Giants' pass defense ahead of Sunday's game.

“I feel like they’ve got a lot of holes in their defense,” Green said.

Green does respect the Giants' defensive line.

“Their front four, they get so much pressure on the quarterback,” he said. “A lot of people don’t have that much time to get the big plays on them. We just have to be solid up front and then we’ll see what happens."

Green leads the NFL in receptions and touchdowns on throws outside the painted numbers.
