Will Chiefs running back Priest Holmes return for the 2006 season?
According to coach Herm Edwards, the chances are 50-50, the Kansas City Star reported.
Holmes, who's recovering from a neck injury, is expected to undergo tests this month to determine his fitness, the Star reported.
"He just wants to make sure he's going to be OK, and I can understand that," Edwards told the paper. "That's something you don't deal with lightly. I anticipate he'll be back. That's my gut feeling."

Pro Bowl Guard Waters Signs Extension With Chiefs
Chiefs Pro Bowl guard Brian Waters has agreed to a six-year contract extension, the team said Wednesday.
Waters has made the Pro Bowl the last two seasons. Terms were not disclosed.
Waters started his NFL career with Dallas in 1999 but was cut, signing with Kansas City about six months later.
Chiefs 'Somewhat Interested' In Owens
Three months ago, when Dick Vermeil occupied the large fourth-floor office at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs said they absolutely, positively had no interest in embattled receiver Terrell Owens.
That icy stance has changed.
Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson told The Star on Tuesday that Kansas City was ?somewhat interested? in Owens and that Peterson planned to have an in-depth conversation with new coach Herm Edwards about the possibility of acquiring the five-time Pro Bowler.
Two things have apparently piqued the Chiefs? interest ? the hope of a possible attitude makeover after Owens? suspension by the Eagles, and Edwards? success in working with difficult players.
