The Chiefs, Jaguars, Raiders, Eagles and Lions would have picks one through five in the 2013 NFL Draft if the season were to end today.
The Chiefs and Jaguars would have to win both of their final two games to even have a chance of moving out of the top-two.
The Kansas City Chiefs have placed Dwayne Bowe on injured reserve with multiple broken ribs.
Bowe will be a free agent in 2013 and is unlikely to return to the Chiefs.
Peyton Hillis was criticized by former Cleveland Browns' teammate Joe Thomas about refusing to play while sick and injured and for being the source of a "toxic" situation in the locker room.
Hillis responded when asked about the remarks by the Kansas City Star.
“It’s kind of like a crazy ex-girlfriend. It's been over a year. Get over it. I guess when you get paid over $100 million by one team, it's kind of easy to point the finger at other guys and try to hate on them for trying to get another contract.’’
The daughter of Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins will receive more than $1 million under terms of the NFL's collective bargaining agreement.
Zoey Belcher will receive $108,000 annually over the next four years, $48,000 in the fifth year and $52,000 each year until she turns 18. She will continue to received that amount until 23 if she attends college.
Jovan Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs killed his girlfriend at about 8 AM local time at a home in the area.
The mother of Belcher's girlfriend was present at the time and witnessed the shooting.
Belcher then shot and killed himself at the Chiefs' practice facility in front of both Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel. Kansas City Police said that Belcher thanked both men before taking his life.
The Chiefs confirmed the shooting and the identity of the shooter.
Belcher, a 25-year-old linebacker, was in his fourth season out of Maine.
