Packers Want To Keep Woodson At Corner
Charles Woodson may play a few snaps at safety for the Packers next season, but the team wants to keep him at cornerback.
"I think the closer Charles is to the ball the more dangerous he is and more impact he has to the offense," coach Mike McCarthy said. "He's the most instinctive defensive player I've ever been around."
Last season, Woodson participated in 988 regular-season plays, or 90.1% of the snaps.
He probably played slot corner 70% to 75% of the time, outside corner 20% to 25% and safety for the rest.

Packers Won't Tag Flynn To Set Up Trade
The Packers are not likely to use the franchise tag on backup quarterback Matt Flynn in order to engineer a sign-and-trade scenario, according to a report.
Under league rules, Green Bay could apply the franchise tag to Flynn and then trade him rather than simply letting him become a free agent.
"(The Packers) don't do business that way," a league source said.
It's prohibited for teams to agree to such a deal before the franchise tag deadline, and one unnamed NFL team executive said that would be farther than Ted Thompson is willing to go.
"(Thompson) doesn't bend the rules," the executive said.

Flynn Ready To Prove He Can Lead Team
Matt Flynn is set to become a free agent next month and is hoping for a chance to prove he can be the starting quarterback for an NFL team.
"I'm a confident person but the element of the unknown makes you wish March 13 was tomorrow," Flynn said.
"I've loved being a Packer, and it's not 100% sure I'm leaving Green Bay, but as a competitor and football player, that's what you play the game for -- to be a starter in the League. Hopefully some teams will be interested in me and I can find a good opportunity. I want to lead a team and I'm excited about it. But I can't talk to teams now. I don't know if I'm on their radar. It's going to be a long month leading up to that time -- waiting and wondering."
Flynn is definitely on the radar of teams in need of a new starting quarterback, such as Miami, Washington, Seattle, Cleveland and perhaps some surprise team, like Arizona, Oakland, Houston and the Jets.
Driver Willing To Take Pay Cut To Remain With Packers
Donald Driver is willing to reduce his salary in order to remain with the Packers.
"The organization knows what I've done on and off the field, and they want to keep me around as long as possible," Driver told WISN television in Milwaukee.
"If that means sitting down and taking pay cuts to stay around, then you take pay cuts to stay around. I've always said it's not about the money for me anymore."
Driver has the most receptions (735) and receiving yards (10,060) in Packers history, has been in Green Bay for the entirety of his 13-year career.
"What I'm pushing for is for my legacy to stay around in the state of Wisconsin and around the world forever," he said. "So the money's not a big issue."
