Justin Smith Ranks As Best Interior Defensive Lineman In NFL Since '08

Dec 8, 2014 8:29 PM

Justin Smith grades as the best overall interior defensive lineman in the NFL over the past five seasons, according to Pro Football Focus.

"It was that 2011 season that earned Smith the praise he so duly deserved, as his dominance couldn't be hidden any longer," writes Elsayed. "Finishing second in our list of NFL players for the season, he combined fearsome pass rush with dominant run defense. So what if his 2012 season was a step off that, Smith is still the top player at his spot by some distance."

Geno Atkins, Kevin Williams, Calais Campbell and Kyle Williams round out the top-5.
