Thomas Davis, Panthers Agree Upon Extension Through 2018

Aug 16, 2017 10:38 PM

The Carolina Panthers have signed Thomas Davis to a one-year extension through 2018.

The deal is worth $6.75 million -- with $2 million guaranteed in 2017 and $3 million guaranteed total.

Davis, 34, will now almost certainly finish his career with the Panthers.

"Everybody knows how I feel about being a Carolina Panther," Davis said in a statement as the team left for two days of joint practices with the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. "This extension solidifies me being here for the rest of my career, and I'm excited about that.

"Now it's totally focused on winning a Super Bowl."

Davis is Carolina's all-time leading tackler with 1,086 in 149 regular-season games, including 131 starts.
