The Baltimore Ravens have placed Breshad Perriman on injured reserve.

Perriman, the No. 26 overall pick, sprained his posterior cruciate ligament on the first day of training camp, aggravated the injury before the Sept. 27 game against the Bengals, and underwent arthroscopic surgery in early October.

"He's had probably one of the all-time slowest-healing sprained PCLs ever," Harbaugh said in early October. "That's nothing against him. It's just the way it is."

Steve Smith Sr. is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Smith has said he planned to retire after the 2015 season.

There had been some momentum recently for Smith to return in 2016 and play out the rest of his contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

“What hurts the most is that I can’t be out there with my guys,” Smith said in a statement released by the team after the game. “We had a great team win today, and that’s really all that counts.”
