Giants Add Shaun Rogers To Defensive Line
The Giants signed former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Shaun Rogers just hours before the first round of the NFL Draft.
Rogers, 33, played last season with the Saints and had 22 tackles in 16 games.
"Hopefully, I can bring some of my experience over the past few years and just fit in and play a part," Rogers said.
"I still most definitely feel that I can bring something to the table. I might not be exactly like I was in '06, but I still have some tricks and I still have some good push in me."
Steelers Re-Sign Byron Leftwich
The Steelers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Byron Leftwich to serve as Ben Roethlisberger's backup.
Leftwich missed the entire 2011 season after breaking his left arm in the preseason.
He has thrown just seven passes since Pittsburgh signed him in 2010.
Nugent Signs Franchise Tender With Bengals
Mike Nugent has signed his $2.645 million tender as Cincinnati's franchise player.
Nugent, 30, set Bengals single-season records for points (132) and field goals (33) last season.
His base salary last year was $685,000.
"We're happy Mike has signed in advance of our offseason camps," coach Marvin Lewis said. "This does not preclude our continuing to talk to Mike and his representatives about reaching a longer-term deal. Mike has been a fine performer for us."
Saints Re-Sign John Kasay
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the team has signed 42-year-old kicker John Kasay to a one-year contract.
New Orleans brought Kasay in during the 2011 preseason after Garrett Hartley hurt his leg.
Kasay has appeared in 301 regular season games, successfully converting 461 of 563 (81.9 percent) field goal attempts in his 21-year career.
Anthony Spencer Signs Tender With Cowboys
Cowboys linebacker Anthony Spencer signed his franchise tender on Monday.
He will be paid $8.8 million for the 2012 season, unless he reaches a long-term agreement with the team.
With Spencer now signed, he's expected to attend the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program, which started its second week on Monday.
Saints Sign Greer To Three-Year Extension
The Saints have signed Jabari Greer to a three-year contract extension, putting him under control through the 2015 season, according to his agent.
"This shows how well Jabari has played, and the Saints have recognized and rewarded him for it," agent Mark Bloom said.
Greer was entering the final year of his contract.
Ravens Sign Curtis Painter
The Ravens have signed Curtis Painter to a one-year contract.
Painter worked out for the Ravens on Thursday along with former Baltimore starter Kyle Boller and former Pittsburgh backup Dennis Dixon.
He will compete with Tyrod Taylor to backup Baltimore starter Joe Flacco.
Giants Re-Sign Chase Blackburn
The Giants have re-signed middle linebacker Chase Blackburn.
A special teams leader, Blackburn was out of football last year until late November, when New York brought him back following injuries to other linebackers.
His steady play culminated in an interception of Tom Brady's pass in the 21-17 Super Bowl win.

After spending the last four seasons with the Patriots, Gary Guyton has signed on with the Dolphins.
Guyton started 32 games for New England and has career totals of 4.5 sacks, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
