Jimmy Garoppolo took the blame after the Las Vegas Raiders' 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

The Lions outgained the Raiders 486-157 at Ford Field.

"You have good days and bad days," Garoppolo said. "Today was a bad day, there's no sugarcoating it. It is what it is. So, I've just got to play better. Myself, I have to play better. A bunch of little things that will solve a lot of problems.

"It starts with me. We've got to be better, and we will be."

Davante Adams had just one catch on seven targets for 11 yards, and his 14% catch rate was tied for the worst reception percentage in a game with five-plus targets in his career.

"Honestly, I don't know what to say at this moment," Adams said. "I truly don't. I wish I had the words to say something that's not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context, so I'm going to just, I truly, I just don't know."

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who missed last week's game with a back injury, is "good to go" for Monday night at the Detroit Lions, Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said Saturday.

"Yeah, I think he's got a little pep in his step," McDaniels said. "Again, he's much the same as everybody else is...he wants to get us headed in the right direction and start doing some things that we haven't been doing as well better. But good leadership, good energy at practice, good execution. Working with everybody across the board, and just really trying to put our focus where it needs to be and have good days and stack them this week and hopefully finish with a good one today in the red zone, some of our work down there, and in the scoring area."

The Las Vegas Raiders have informed teams around the NFL that they are not trading Davante Adams before the Oct. 31 deadline, regardless of how unhappy the star receiver is with the offense, league sources told ESPN.

The Raiders have made it clear to teams that they are not interested in moving on from Adams, even if the All-Pro is open to a trade, according to sources. Adams signed a five-year deal with Las Vegas in 2022 and was intended to be one of the centerpieces of Raiders coach Josh McDaniels' offense.

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders because of the dislocated thumb in his right hand.

Fields, 24, was classified as doubtful on Monday by coach Matt Eberflus and did not practice during the week. Rookie backup Tyson Bagent will start against Las Vegas, becoming just the fourth Division II QB to start an NFL game in the past 20 years.

The Las Vegas Raiders will be without Jimmy Garoppolo on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, according to a source.

Garoppolo is dealing with a back injury.

The Raiders will turn to either rookie Aidan O'Connell, who started Las Vegas' Week 4 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers with Garoppolo out with a concussion, or veteran Brian Hoyer, who replaced the injured Garoppolo at halftime of Sunday's defeat of the New England Patriots.

Davante Adams acknowledged Wednesday he is growing frustrated with his seemingly diminished role, despite the Las Vegas Raiders winning two straight games.

"I'm a human being and I have extremely high standards for myself in this offense," said Adams, who has been targeted a combined nine times the last two games. He has six catches for 74 yards.

"I'm sure people are thinking, 'They won the game, why is there an issue?' I mean, you see why it's an issue. Y'all should know who I am, know what I'm about at this point ... when you're a player like me, mentally, my benchmark is not wins and losses -- it's greatness," the wide receiver said. "So when I go out there, I expect to be able to have that ability to put that on tape and have an influence on the game. That's my purpose for being here. I'm not here just to hang out; I came here to win and to do it the right way."

Adams hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 3 when he was targeted 20 times and had 13 catches for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He is also dealing with a right shoulder injury suffered in the Week 4 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers.

"So if it don't look like it's supposed to look, then I'm going to be frustrated if I'm not a part of that plan," Adams said. "Because I have the opportunity to go and change that and make it look like a much better picture out there. And if that doesn't happen, then I'm going to be frustrated. If Jacobi [Meyers] goes out and has a monster game or if the offense is scoring every five plays, like our first drive on the Bills, then it is what it is.

"It's not about me, but I'm one of the bigger pieces as to why this offense is going to go. And if I'm not getting it, then that's obviously not according to plan."

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a back injury late in the second quarter against the New England Patriots and was ruled out by the team in the third quarter.

After halftime, the game broadcast on CBS reported that Garoppolo was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

 So much for the Green Bay Packers finally having all of their skill-position players without any restrictions for the first time this season.

The team signed running back Patrick Taylor to the active roster Monday as running back Aaron Jones' return from his Week 1 hamstring injury took a turn for the worse.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has cleared the concussion protocol and will start against the Green Bay Packers on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" at Allegiant Stadium.

Garoppolo suffered the concussion during a Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 24 but never left the game. He missed Sunday's loss at the Los Angeles Chargers.

The approval process from the NFL for Tom Brady's proposed deal to purchase a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders has stalled as there are concerns about the discounted price. 

The deal would be unlikely to be ratified at the proposed price, which is up to a 70 percent discount. Brady is purchasing a stake in the Raiders between five and 10 percent.

There is strong sentiment within the finance committee that the deal “can’t happen at that price” and will not be approved without modifications.

The Raiders are worth an estimated $6.2 billion, according to Forbes’s NFL team valuations released in August. 

Forbes estimated in February that Brady earned more than $530 million from playing contracts and off-field business ventures during his 23 NFL seasons.
