NFL Now Has 10 Teams In Marijuana-Legal States

Nov 9, 2016 1:36 PM

With Tuesday's elections, 10 NFL teams play in a state where marijuana has been legalized medically or recreationally.

California and Massachusetts joined Washington and Colorado as states where marijuana can be consumed for any purpose. If the Raiders relocate to Las Vegas, that won't change as Nevada has legalized marijuana for recreational purposes.

Florida is one of various states to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes.

The NFL previously justified their ongoing ban because federal law considers marijuana as a controlled substance.

The 49ers, Raiders, Rams, Chargers and Patriots joined the Seahawks, Broncos, Jaguars, Dolphins and Buccaneers.

Jordan Cameron Considering Retirement Due To Recurrent Concussions

Nov 5, 2016 7:19 PM

Jared Cameron has been placed on injured reserve after not playing since Week 3 due to a concussion.

Cameron has suffered four concussions in the past four seasons and is considering retirement.

Cameron has been seeing a concussion specialist in Pittsburgh. He said this week he was improving, and he hoped to return this season, but the Dolphins decided to replace him on the roster.

Cameron missed five games due to concussion issues in 2014, his last season with the Browns.

A Pro Bowl selection with Cleveland in 2013, Cameron has totaled only 43 catches and four touchdowns in two years with Miami.

Jets Working To Stop Jay Ajayi, Avoid Being 'Footnote In History'

Nov 4, 2016 8:08 AM

Jay Ajayi will attempt to become the first player in NFL history to rush for 200 or more yards in three straight games when the Miami Dolphins face the New York Jets on Sunday.

Sheldon Richardson, who wasn't born the last time the Jets allowed a 200-yard rusher, says that won't happen.

"Decent back," he said of Ajayi. "They found a little groove with him right now. I think we've got a game plan for him. We're not going to be a footnote in history, and that's how we approach it."

The Jets have the No. 1 rush defense in the NFL, allowing just 74 yards per game.

"It's a good challenge for us," David Harris said. "They run the ball good. We stop the run good. We'll see who breaks first."

Brandon Marshall: Byron Maxwell 'Holds Every Single Play'

Nov 3, 2016 8:48 AM

As Brandon Marshall prepares to face off against the Miami Dolphins, he took a shot at cornerback Byron Maxwell.

"I played against him last year and he just held every single play," Marshall said. "Every single play he held. That was tough."

Marshall encountered Maxwell last season when the latter was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Marshall said he's "excited" for the rematch because, "I owe him one."

Sunday's game between the New York Jets and Dolphins will also be Marshall's first in Miami since the team traded him in 2012.
