Stephen Davis is expected to sign an honorary contract with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday to retire as a member of the team, according to the Charlotte Observer. Muhammad?s agent, Joel Segal, and Carolina GM Marty Hurney said Tuesday that they are close to a deal that would return the veteran receiver to where he played his first nine seasons. ?Hopefully we can get something done in the next day or so,?
