Vernon Davis Signs With Washington

Mar 31, 2016 4:44 PM

Vernon Davis has agreed to a one-year deal with Washington.

In 10 seasons, Davis has caught 461 passes. Davis finished last season with 38 receptions for 395 yards with the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos.

Washington particularly likes the blocking ability of Davis.

Scot McCloughan drafted Davis while with the 49ers.

"He's in great shape. He's a football player and is one of those guys that has never really been injured because his genetics is so incredible," McCloughan said during the NFL owners meetings on March 22. "He can block, he can run, he catches."

Karlos Dansby To Sign With Bengals

Mar 29, 2016 2:44 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals will sign Karlos Dansby.

Despite plenty of time in the 3-4 defense, Dansby will find work in Cincy's 4-3 scheme.

While Rey Maualuga and Vincent Rey are under contract at middle linebacker, Dansby is an upgrade over A.J. Hawk for a defense that also must account for Vontaze Burfict's three-game suspension.

The Cleveland Browns and Robert Griffin III have agreed upon a two year deal. The Browns have been the only franchise to show serious interest in Griffin.

Griffin is a free agent after he was released by Washington.

Griffin was the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year and has since struggled with injuries. Griffin led Washington to win the NFC East while throwing for 3,200 yards with 20 touchdowns against five interceptions along with 815 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.
