Agents Threaten Boycott Of NFL Combine Over Bubble Concerns

Feb 22, 2022 9:23 AM

A group of player agents is threatening to organize a boycott of key elements of the NFL scouting combine if its concerns about a COVID-19 "bubble" for prospects are not addressed, according to sources.

The NFL sent a memo last week to draft prospects and their agents outlining rules for the combine, including a "bubble" that would keep prospects from interacting with their personal trainers, doctors, nutritionists and agents while in Indianapolis.

A group of agents representing more than 150 of the 324 invited prospects has pushed back, saying it will hold its players out of combine drills and interviews if the league does not relent on those plans.

Antwaan Randle El Wants Lions To Add Three WRs

Feb 4, 2022 8:55 AM

Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El wants to see the team add three players to his position group this season.

Those additions would join Amon-Ra St. Brown, Quintez Cephus and Josh Reynolds, if the team re-signs the veteran.

"You always want to have a guy, so to speak, that guy, we're throwing to him, we don’t care who is covering what, we know he can go up and get that," Randle El said.

"My guys know we haven't had that guy yet. So it's nothing new to them. It's not a slap to them or a jab at them in any way. That's what we need to complement not just Amon-Ra, because I felt like 'Q' was really taking some strides before he got hurt."
