Giants Concerned David Wilson May Be Unable To Play For Them Again

Aug 22, 2014 11:35 PM

The New York Giants are unsure if David Wilson be able to play for them again.

The source said it would take some unexpectedly good news from Wilson's surgeon on Monday to convince the Giants that it's OK for their 2012 first-round pick to return to action.

According to another source close to the situation, Wilson has been very upbeat and has told people he'll be fine again after a couple of days off. His teammates backed that up in conversations Thursday.

"It was good to see him back in the meeting room, bright-eyed and ready to go," fellow running back Rashad Jennings said.

Romo sat out his second practice in five full practices so far in training camp for the Dallas Cowboys.

“He is 100 percent. He’s 100 percent,” Jones said during practice Tuesday. “He’s just being real smart and sensitive about having come off the back surgery. He’s certainly not losing any ground from the standpoint of opening up against San Francisco [in the regular-season opener].”

Vick Ballard Tears Achilles Tendon

Sep 29, 2014 7:44 PM

Vick Ballard tore his Achilles on Friday.

Ballard missed all but one game last season for the Indianapolis Colts with a torn ACL.

"When you see someone like Vick Ballard go down who's worked so hard to get back, it's tough, but it happens," Colts owner Jim Irsay said. "As soon as you get to camp, those things happen. He's still young and he's got a full career ahead of him so we have to do an MRI and see exactly what it is and then go from there. But you really hope to not hear any of that kind of news."
