The New York Jets intend on playing Mark Sanchez at quarterback 80-90 percent of the time over Tim Tebow.

"We're going to do what's best for the team and, in terms of, if that gives us the best match-up on that play, that's the play we're going to run," general manager Mike Tannenbaum said. "But again, Mark's going to be on the field for the lion's share. You guys will see. His playing time will be 80-90 percent over the 16 games. He's clearly our quarterback."

The Jets led the NFL in red-zone efficiency last season, scoring 65.5 percent of the time with Sanchez at quarterback.
