One of the exercises I’ve learned over the years is to strip away the team aspect of the draft and focus strictly on the players and the slot. Because trades are so unpredictable and also so impactful for the draft order, I like to try and just do a straight projection of what slot the players will go in.

When you’re reading this, try and strip away the team component from the slot; especially after about the 12th pick I hardly considered what team would be picking. This is more of a projection of how I think the NFL views and values these players. Note this is not indicative of my personal rankings.

The goal here is to get at least 80 of the top 100 players correctly identified. I’d like to be within 3 spots of the actual slot the players come off the board too.
