49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was charged Saturday with driving under the influence in Miami Beach, according to an ESPN.com report.
Miami-Dade County jail records show Smith was booked Saturday morning and held on $1,000 bond.

Alleged Victim Sues Raiders' McClain
An Alabama man who was allegedly assaulted by Rolando McClain and another man has sued the Raiders linebacker alleging "brutal and prolonged assault and battery."
Christian Tapscott of Decatur filed suit Wednesday in Morgan County Circuit Court seeking unspecified punitive and compensatory damages from McClain and Jadarious Willingham.
Roethlisberger's Lawsuit Settled
Lawyers for Ben Roethlisberger and a woman who accused him of raping her at a Lake Tahoe hotel-casino in 2008 have reached a settlement that ends her civil lawsuit against the quarterback.
Cal Dunlap, the Reno lawyer representing Andrea McNulty, confirmed the settlement on Friday but declined to discuss the terms of the agreement.
"The matter has been resolved and I have no further comment," he told The Associated Press.

Miami Herald reporter David Smiley tweeted that rapper Lil Wayne may have been involved in the fight with Bryant.
The entire incident started when someone heckled Bryant about his play on the field and his public debt issues and thing got out of hand.
While Lil Wayne may have been involved, it's still unclear what his role, if any, was in the incident.

Stafon Johnson Settles Lawsuit With USC
Former USC running back Stafon Johnson's lawsuit against the school and a former employee alleging negligence in the weight room has been settled, USC announced Wednesday.
Johnson, a two-year starter for the Trojans now with the NFL's Washington Redskins, sued the school in January 2011 for unspecified damages greater than $25,000 after a September 2009 weightlifting accident nearly cost him his life and forced him to undergo several emergency surgeries.

Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson was indicted on drug charges Thursday in Covington, Ky., The Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
The indictment charges Simpson with trafficking in more than 8 ounces and less than five pounds of marijuana, a felony, Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders told the paper. Simpson could face one to five years in prison if convicted.

Former Ohio State and NFL quarterback Art Schlichter has been arrested on charges he violated his bond conditions by twice testing positive for cocaine.
