Georgia Tech fired football Coach Chan Gailey after six seasons, two days after the Yellow Jackets lost to rival Georgia for the sixth season in a row, sources close to the situation said Monday. Gailey, 55, was informed of the decision by Georgia Tech Athletics Director Dan Radakovich in a meeting on Monday morning, the sources said. It wasn't immediately known whether Gailey would coach the Yellow Jackets in a bowl game. The school has scheduled a 2 P.M. news conference to announce the firing.
