Louisiana State coach Les Miles, a former Michigan player and assistant, said he is not flattered by speculation he could be the leading candidate to replace Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr. "Not at all," Miles said Wednesday when asked by The Detroit News during a teleconference. "I've given very little thought to that. It would be a distraction to my team and to me." Miles has been badgered about the subject the last two weeks, particularly since Michigan is mired in an 0-2 start. Miles' name became linked to the Michigan job because he has a clause in his contract that would require him to pay LSU $1.25 million if he leaves to take over the Wolverines before his contract expires in 2011.
