Former USC wide receiver Jamere Holland formally requested a hearing Tuesday to grant his full transfer release to Pacific-10 Conference rival Oregon. USC already planned to hold a hearing later this month but Holland made an official request because he wants to guarantee a full scholarship if he transfers to Oregon, a move opposed by USC coach Pete Carroll. Holland earned an initial victory when a recent hearing granted him the right to communicate with Oregon. But that hearing did not grant a full release, which means Holland would have to pay his own tuition for a year if he transferred. USC opposed a move to Florida but did not block a move to UNLV.
