The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to a three-year, $51 million contract with $34.7 million guaranteed, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told ESPN's Adam Schefter Monday. Shaheed becomes the second notable player to return to the defending Super Bowl champions this offseason, joining cornerback Josh Jobe.

The signings arrive on the same day Seattle lost two prominent contributors. Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III departed for the Kansas City Chiefs, while defensive back Coby Bryant signed with the Chicago Bears.

Shaheed, 27, was acquired in a midseason trade with the New Orleans Saints and became a vital piece of Seattle's championship run through his work in the return game. He scored three special teams touchdowns during the regular season, highlighted by a 58-yard punt return that sparked a comeback from a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.

Shaheed also returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in Seattle's divisional round win over the San Francisco 49ers. He earned his second career Pro Bowl selection as a kick returner.

His offensive production in Seattle was limited. In 12 regular-season and playoff games with the Seahawks, Shaheed caught 18 passes for 266 yards with no receiving touchdowns, adding 86 rushing yards on 11 carries.

Before the trade, Shaheed established himself as one of the league's top deep threats after entering as an undrafted free agent from Weber State in 2022. Ten of his 12 career touchdowns covered at least 30 yards.

Seattle surrendered fourth and fifth-round picks to acquire Shaheed, leaving the club with just four selections in the upcoming draft.
