"People ask me if I enjoy owning a team," Eagles' owner Jeffery Lurie said yesterday at training camp in his annual preseason state of the team address. "Yeah, I enjoy owning a team, but the pain of a playoff loss like [last season in New Orleans] just kills you for months and months and months. "It's really up until the moment that training camp begins that I can let go of second-and-1 in the red zone in New Orleans, or whatever it's been. "It just sears you. I guess that's great because if you can win it's so wonderful, but it does hurt badly when you don't win when you really want to. That's the way this sport is."
