The Chiefs were relieved to learn that left tackle Damion McIntosh will miss only four to six weeks because of a right knee sprain he received in Monday afternoon?s practice.
Under that timetable, McIntosh would miss the entire preseason but could be ready to play by the regular-season opener Sept. 9 in Houston. A six-week scenario would mean McIntosh sits out against the Texans and the following week?s game against the Bears in Chicago and returns Sept. 23 against Minnesota at Arrowhead Stadium.
