Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has agreed to terms of a five-year contract with WR Dwayne Bowe. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available. ?I?m glad to finally get Dwayne into camp,? Peterson commented. ?The good news is that a contract is done but the bad news is that it took too long. We will initially place him on PUP [Physically Unable to Perform] to determine his physical condition the first few days he?s in camp.? Bowe (6-3, 221) joined the Chiefs as club?s first-round pick (23rd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He saw action in 50 contests (30 starts) at LSU, catching 154 passes for 2,403 yards (15.6 avg.) with a school-record 26 TDs. He was just the sixth player in LSU history to surpass the 2,000-yard receiving plateau. Bowe ranks fourth in LSU history with 154 catches, while his 2,403 receiving yards rank sixth in Tigers annals.
