Despite the presence of Russell Wilson on their roster, John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks had interest in 2017 in Patrick Mahomes and in Josh Allen in 2018.

Sources say Schneider was so enamored by Mahomes that the Seahawks would have selected him had he fallen to them late in the first round.

Schneider was working for the Green Bay Packers in 2005 when Aaron Rodgers fell to them.

"They were f---ing pissed," a Seahawks' front-office source said of Wilson's camp.

The Seahawks also flirted with moving up to No. 1 in the 2018 draft while offering Wilson. Wilson ended up getting a no-trade clause out of the deal.
