Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard held an unscripted, impromptu and passionate virtual call on Thursday in which he emphasized that there has to be an end to social injustice and racial inequality.

"This is not a black problem," Ballard said. "This is a white problem. This is an issue that we have to talk about, and we can't sugarcoat it. We can't sugarcoat our way out of this. We can't go back into our bubble, because that's what we've always done. We've always gone right back into our bubble, and we've never really listened. I haven't listened."

Ballard said a couple times during the call that he was not there to talk about football and that his sole purpose for the unscheduled meeting with the media was to talk about what's going on in the country after the death of George Floyd.
