Several high profile NFL players, including Saquon Barkley, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr. taped a powerful message for the NFL.

The video opens with a couple of questions for the NFL: “How many times do we need to ask you to listen to your players? What will it take? For one of us to be murdered by police brutality?”

All of the players asked: “What if I was George Floyd?”

Then, the players listed off many names of black men and women that have died recently, including Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, Laquan McDonald, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Walter Scott, Michael Brown Jr., Samuel DuBose, Frank Smart, Phillip White and Jordan Baker.

“On behalf of the National Football League, this is what we the players, would like to hear you state: We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people.

“We the National Football League, admit wrong in silencing our players from peacefully protesting.”

“We the National Football League, believe Black Lives Matter.”
