The New York Jets are ready to begin the interview process as they seek a new general manager.

Mike Maccagnan was fired two weeks ago.

The Jets are expected to meet in the coming days with Seattle Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer, Chicago Bears assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly and Philadelphia Eagles vice president of player personnel Joe Douglas.

They also requested permission to speak with Minnesota Vikings assistant general manager George Paton and New Orleans Saints director of pro scouting Terry Fontenot.
