After being released by the Cleveland Browns following charges of insider trading, Mychal Kendricks is signing a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks.

Kendricks pleaded guilty last week to the charges and a sentencing hearing is set for Jan. 24.

The linebacker used tips from an acquaintance to make about $1.2 million in illegal profits on four major trading deals, federal prosecutors said.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said Kendricks' legal situation is under review, and Kendricks is currently allowed to sign and participate in activities, including games.
