The Buffalo Bills beat the Carolina Panthers 24-23 in what became a battle of field goal kickers in the fourth quarter until EJ Manuel hit Stevie Johnson for a game-winning touchdown in the final seconds.

The Bills had a +0.9 advantage in the Trench Counter, averaging 1.9 more yards per play but similar first downs and one additional turnover. Buffalo had a +7 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Manuel went 27-for-39 for 296 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while C.J. Spiller carried 16 times for 103 yards. Johnson finished the game with eight carries for 111 yards and the aforementioned touchdown.

Cam Newton went 21-for-38 for 229 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
