The Detroit Lions have yet to use their two top 2012 draft picks with much frequency.

The Lions drafted wide receiver Ryan Broyles in the second round, while offensive lineman Riley Reiff went in the first out of April.

Broyles was expected to compete with Nate Burleson for snaps.

"Coming from OU, I've always been the man. A lot of guys in this locker room have always been the man, and now they are twos, threes, things like that," Broyles said. "We all have high hopes, high expectations for ourselves. I definitely want to be on the field more."

Jeff Backus has taken every snap at left tackle this season and Reiff has been on the field for just nine snaps.

""He's improving every day," Jim Schwartz said. "We've had packages with him, and a lot of other teams do it. San Francisco uses offensive lineman as tight ends, New England does it, Saints do it, we saw it a couple times last year. We've had that package.
