Alabama has overtaken USC for the top slot in the AP Top-25.

Alabama defeated a top-ranked team in Michigan in their first game of the season, while the Trojans remained untested in their convincing win over Hawaii.

The Tide received 45 first place votes, while USC had 11 and four for LSU.

LSU, Oregon and Oklahoma round out the top-five.

Florida State, Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina and West Virginia comprise the remainder of the top-10.

Michigan State is ranked 11th following their win over Boise State, who fell out of the rankings.

Clemson, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma State, Michigan and TCU are ranked from 12th to 20th.

Kansas State, Notre Dame, Louisville, Florida and Stanford round out the top-25.

Michigan is the only ranked team with a loss.
