The San Francisco 49ers will sign Clark Haggans, who started the entire 2011 season at outside linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals.

Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks will be the 49ers' starters at outside linebacker.

The 49ers had been trying to claim a young OLB off waivers on Saturday, but will instead go with a 12-year veteran in Haggans.
