The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to move the trade deadline after Week 8 of the regular season.

The two sides have also agreed to amend the rules concerning injured reserve.

The NFL has dropped its request for added padded practices.

Also, players can practice right away when joining the team, abolishing the three-day rule for next year.

One NFL general manager told Jason La Confora of NFL.com that pushing the deadline back two weeks should increase trades because it is more clear who is beginning to plan for the next season at that point.
