Nick Foles completed 18 of his 28 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 27-17 preseason victory at New England on Monday.

Foles had a 96.9 passer rating in the game after receiving more action than anticipated due to Michael Vick's rib injury.

Foles has been taught the West Coast offense slowly and may become the backup quarterback ahead of Mike Kafka.

Foles has become a fan sensation, but that is something he may not be comfortable in.

"He's going to be uncomfortable with that, I can tell you," said University of Arizona quarterbacks coach Frank Scelfo. "He's very unassuming."

Foles spoke with Scelfo following Monday's game.

"For the most part, what he felt good about was that they opened up the playbook a bit, and he was able to grasp it," Scelfo said.
