Chad Johnson has volunteered to play on special teams for the Dolphins. Johnson has taken snaps as a gunner on the punt team and fielded punt and kick returns in training camp. "I must have been at some other drill when that was going on," coach Joe Philbin said when informed of his participation. "Again, we're exploring any option possible and he is a potential option, but beyond that he certainly hasn't been harassing me [about it]."
