According to a report, "it would be an upset" if the Patriots and Wes Welker reached an agreement on a long-term contract.

"Talks remain stagnant and by stagnant I mean nonexistent," CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran said.
The veteran is looking for a deal that will allow him to finish his career with the Patriots, while the team appears content to franchise the Pro Bowl wideout and re-address in a year.
