Carlos Rogers hopes to follow the same route as fellow 49ers defender Ahmad Brooks, who avoided free agency with an extension earlier this week. "I'm hoping we get somthing done so I don't test free agency," Rogers told SiriusXM NFL Radio. If the 49ers can't reach a long-term contract with Rogers, they could put the franchise tag on him. The tag for cornerbacks is $10.6 million this year. Rogers came to the 49ers on a one-year, $4.25 million deal last season and garnered his first Pro Bowl berth. "As cornerbacks, we know our market value," he said.
