Joe Flacco is entering the final year of his rookie contract and his agent has begun talking to the Ravens about a possible extension. The two sides haven't begun negotiating yet, but they established that both have a desire to get a deal done. "We just wanted to make sure that he was really as valued as much as we thought he was," agent Joe Linta said. "It was very clear to me that everybody in their organization from the owner on down feels that way and is committed to him as their franchise quarterback. This was just confirmation for us."
