The Raiders have signed former Kansas City fullback Omar Easy to a one-year contract with a base salary of $455,000. Easy, 27, appeared in 37 games for the Chiefs in three seasons, primarily on special teams. The former Penn State standout notched four rushing attempts for one yard and had six receptions for 42 yards and one touchdown. He also had 11 special teams tackles. Originally a fourth-round choice in the 2002 draft, Easy became an unrestricted free agent this spring when Kansas City did not make him a restricted free-agent qualifying offer to retain a right of first refusal on him. To create a roster spot for Easy, the Raiders released defensive lineman Mark Word, signed as a free agent earlier this offseason.
