Notre Dame scored midway through the fourth quarter to edge Pittsburgh 15-12 at Heinz Field on Saturday afternoon. Irish quarterback Tommy Rees shrugged off a miserable start to hit tight end Tyler Eifert for a six-yard touchdown pass with less than seven minutes to go. It was Notre Dame's second straight victory. Rees went 8-for-8 on the game-winning drive, remaining patient even as the Panthers bottled up Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.
