The Vikings and Sidney Rice spoke before the NFL lockout went into place, but the team didn't offer the wide receiver a contract at the time. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Saturday that Rice is still expected to explore free agency. The lack of an offer likely had more to do with the pending labor uncertainty than any lack of desire to pay Rice. "The Vikings have been good to him," Rosenhaus said. "There's just so many factors that will take place once the lockout is lifted."
