Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has discussed the team adding a veteran quarterback to their roster. Minnesota drafted Christian Ponder in the first round of April's NFL Draft. Frazier said Friday the lockout, which began in March, has "created more discussion" among the staff about whether to sign or trade for a veteran. The veteran could help tutor Ponder and young quarterback Joe Webb. "We had an idea back in April which direction we wanted to go," Frazier said. "Maybe we thought about some things. Now we're into June, and we're still discussing what's the best option for us and our quarterbacks. "What you don't want to do is put a guy in harm's way where his confidence is affected for the future. So we have some different things we've got to talk (about) and figure out."
