The Jets are expecting a breakout season from running back Shonn Greene if the 2011 NFL season is played as scheduled. Greene shared the load with Thomas Jones two years ago before being part of another two-man tandem with LaDainian Tomlinson last year. New York offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer admitted that "without a doubt" Greene will be the primary ball carrier with an opportunity to be a consistent 18-20-carry running back each week. Greene has just 293 regular-season carries through his first two seasons. "Shonn's ready to take that next step," Schottenheimer said. "He's just gotten better year in and year out. His durability this year was outstanding. You just see the confidence in his eyes. His ability to pick up pass protection stuff has been terrific the last couple years. We expect a breakout season from him. He's a guy that's got just huge, huge, huge potential that we think is right there ready for him to grab."
