The Bills have claimed linebacker Shawne Merriman off waivers from the Chargers. The Buccaneers and Dolphins also put in claims for Merriman, according to a report by ESPN.com's John Clayton. Merriman must report to the Bills within five days or he'll be placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list and would not be able to play the rest of the season.
