Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie has reportedly paid more than $25,000 in overdue child support. The San Diego Union-Tribune writes that Cromartie will avoid having to go to court to explain his financial situation. The Jets paid the newcomer some of his contract money up front to help with his situation. They advanced him $500,000 of the $1.7 million he'll make in the 2010 season. "We're looking forward to him having a fresh start here with us and we're going to work with Antonio collaboratively to make sure we can do everything we can organizationally to give him the best chance to be successful," Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said. "We're looking forward to working together in that partnership."
