A new poll shows Santa Clara voters are split even on whether to approve a $937 million 49ers stadium. The independent poll of 200 Santa Clara voters likely to cast ballots in the June stadium election found 45 percent favored the project and 45 percent were against it. The rest were undecided. Support was significantly greater among voters on the top and bottom ends of the economic ladder. Those earning more than $75,000 a year or less than $30,000 approved of the stadium deal, 56 to 35 percent, while those in between opposed it by almost identical numbers.
