When Tom Cable meets with Al Davis, JaMarcus Russell will be a main topic of discussion. Cable removed Russell twice during home games last season and pulled him from the starter's role after nine games in favor of Bruce Gradkowski. Cable started Charlie Frye the final three games after Gradkowski suffered torn ligaments in both knees and was unable to play, even though Russell was healthy. Davis and the Raiders selected Russell with the No. 1 pick of the 2007 NFL draft and envisioned him as the long-term solution at quarterback. Russell is slated to earn $9.45 million in base salary in 2010, and he said he won't restructure his contract.
