The Redskins signed quarterback Andre Woodson to their practice squad on Wednesday just one day after being released by the Giants. He was used by the Redskins on their practice squad, which could make the Washington defense more effective when they play the Giants on Sunday. "I would say initially that wasn't the reason to have Andre Woodson here," Jim Zorn said when asked if the Redskins were using Woodson as a mole. "We looked at him a year ago. We drafted Colt [Brennan], they drafted Andre. With him getting released, we had the chance to take a look at him.... We have a chance with Andre now to develop him a little bit." "It's pretty obvious why he's in Washington," said Tom Coughlin. "There's no question that's what's going on." Zorn said that while the Redskins won't "put him under the microscope," Woodson's familiarity with the Giants' offense certainly won't hurt. "He might be able to help us a little bit. He knows their stuff. He certainly knew their snap count, just the obvious things." Zorn said.
