The Patriots have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with rookie cornerback Darius Butler.
Butler was a second-round pick out of Connecticut.
He is only the second player chosen in the second round to reach a contract agreement, and just the second of New England's 12 picks in 2009 to come to terms.
The contract is worth a total of $3.9 million.
